About Saint George’s

The Anglican Church of Saint George the Martyr is a parish in the bustling upstate of South Carolina worshipping God in the sacramental tradition of the 1928 Book of Common Prayer. Fr. Paul Rivard, a graduate of Erskine Seminary and native of Saskatchewan, Canada, has been the Rector since 2012. Fr. Stokes Smith serves as an assisting priest and has experience both as a clergyman and a professional counsellor working in the hospital setting. Fr. Richard Bugyi-Sutter also serves as an assisting priest and has been a clergyman in the Continuing Anglican Church since the 1990’s while often teaching English at various colleges and universities during that time.
